Honored to have shared the stage with Abhishek Somani for this session. What struck me most: we come from very different regulatory realities, but the direction of travel is the same — beyond 4-hour lithium-ion, toward mid- and long-duration storage. That convergence is not a coincidence. It reflects the same physics, the same grid pressures, and the same urgency.

For me personally, these transatlantic conversations are at the heart of what I do — both in my role at Flow Batteries Europe and through Clean Energy Magazine, where bridging exactly these kinds of policy and technology perspectives for an international readership is what we aim for every issue.
